CeramicElite is a high-performance backing tape designed for higher productivity and a consistently smooth welding bead. Ideal for shipbuilding, tanks, reservoirs, and hard-to-reach welds, the ceramic backing tape is recommended as a replacement for traditional copper backing for SMAW, FCAW, and SMAW operations. The ceramic on aluminum tape is adjustable and flexible to follow the parts geometry and easily detaches after welding. The flat profile with rectangular groove is shaped to allow for slag formation and removal in flux-cored applications.
