Orders & Payments

How do I place an order?

You can place an order online through our website or by calling us at 800-783-8833. If you are unsure which item you need, we recommend contacting us before ordering.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, PayPal, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Affirm financing may also be available on qualifying purchases.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Affirm financing may be available on qualifying purchases. When available, you can select Affirm on the product page or during checkout and choose from the payment options shown.

Affirm options are subject to approval, purchase amount, and Affirm terms.

Is my credit card information safe?

Yes. Orders are processed through our secure BigCommerce checkout. Harris Welding Supplies does not ask customers to email full credit card information.

Will I be charged sales tax?

We currently collect sales tax only on orders shipped to Ohio. If your order is shipping to an Ohio address, the applicable sales tax will be calculated and shown during checkout before you submit your order.

Is there a minimum order size?

No. We do not require a minimum order.

Can I add something to my order after it is placed?

Contact us as soon as possible with your order number. If the order has not shipped yet, we will do our best to help. Orders are processed quickly, so changes are not always possible.

Can I cancel my order?

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. Orders that have already shipped cannot be canceled, but they may be eligible for return according to our return policy.

Shipping & Delivery

When will my order ship?

Most orders are typically shipped within 48 hours, Monday through Friday. Custom orders, manufacturer drop ships, freight shipments, and backordered items may take longer.

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free shipping on qualifying orders over $99 shipped to the Lower 48 States.

Free shipping does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or international orders. Some items may require freight shipping or special handling.

How will my order be shipped?

Most orders ship by UPS or USPS. Some equipment, oversized items, freight items, or manufacturer drop-ship orders may ship by another carrier at the manufacturerโ€™s or carrierโ€™s discretion.

Can you ship to a P.O. Box?

Some small items may ship by USPS, but UPS and freight shipments cannot be delivered to a P.O. Box. For the smoothest delivery, use a physical street address during checkout.

How do I track my order?

If tracking is provided by the carrier, your order will be updated with tracking information. Some small USPS shipments may not include tracking.

What if my item is backordered?

If an item is backordered, we will make every effort to notify you. Some orders may ship complete, while others may ship in separate shipments depending on the items ordered and the shipping method selected.

Freight, Damage & Large Equipment

How do freight deliveries work?

Equipment shipped by common carrier is delivered to the tail of the truck. The receiver is responsible for unloading the equipment.

Do I need a forklift or liftgate?

If your order is shipping by truck freight, make sure you have a way to unload it. For residential deliveries or locations without unloading equipment, liftgate service may need to be arranged with the carrier when available.

What should I do before signing for a freight delivery?

Inspect the shipment carefully before signing. If there is visible damage, note the damage with the carrier before accepting the shipment.

Once a shipment is signed for without damage or shortage noted, the carrier may treat the shipment as delivered in good condition. This can limit our ability to file a freight claim on your behalf.

What if my shipment arrives damaged?

If your order arrives damaged, contact Harris Welding Supplies as soon as possible at 800-783-8833. Freight damage should be reported immediately, and damaged shipments should be inspected before signing.

Returns & Exchanges

Do you accept returns?

Yes. Most items may be returned within 30 calendar days as long as they are unused, in the same condition received, in the original packaging, and include proof of purchase.

Can I return an item after using it?

No. Items that have been used, installed, worn, altered, damaged, or removed from their original packaging may not be accepted for return or exchange.

Who pays return shipping?

If the return is not due to an error on our part, the customer is responsible for return shipping charges.

Is there a restocking fee?

Returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Original shipping and handling charges are not refunded unless the return is due to an error on our part.

Product Help

Can you help me choose the right welder, plasma cutter, or accessory?

Yes. If you are comparing machines, replacing consumables, matching a torch part, choosing welding cable, or trying to find the right accessory, contact us before ordering.

We would rather help you confirm the correct item before purchase than have you deal with a return or exchange later.

How do I make sure I am buying the correct replacement part?

Compare the part number from your manual, machine label, torch, regulator, or existing part. If you are unsure, send us the model number, code number, serial number, or a photo through our Contact Us page.

What information should I send if I need product help?

Helpful information may include the brand, model number, code number, serial number, part number, machine type, torch style, photos of the existing part, and what you are trying to replace or connect.

Are product pictures always exact?

Product images are intended to help identify the item, but packaging, labels, colors, included accessories, and manufacturer designs can change. Always rely on the product title, part number, and description when ordering.

What if I cannot find the item I need?

Contact us and we will do our best to help. We carry many welding machines, plasma cutters, gas equipment items, filler metals, safety products, replacement parts, and accessories, and we may be able to help you locate the correct item.

What if my machine or item is defective?

If an item appears defective, contact us for help. Depending on the product and manufacturer, warranty service may need to be handled through the manufacturer or an authorized repair facility.

Canadian & International Orders

Do you accept Canadian orders?

Yes. We accept Canadian orders through our website.

Who pays duties, taxes, or brokerage fees on Canadian orders?

Canadian customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, brokerage fees, import fees, or other charges that may be incurred when importing items into Canada.

Do you accept orders outside the United States and Canada?

For countries outside the United States and Canada, please contact us before ordering so we can review payment and shipping options.

Website, Pricing & Product Information

What happens if there is a pricing error?

We work hard to keep pricing accurate, but pricing errors can occasionally occur. If an item is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error, pricing error, or incorrect supplier information, we reserve the right to correct the error, update the order, or cancel/refuse the order.

If your order is affected by a pricing error, we will contact you as soon as possible.

What if product information on the website is inaccurate?

We strive to keep product information accurate and up to date, but errors, omissions, manufacturer changes, or outdated information may occasionally appear. We reserve the right to correct errors, update product information, change pricing, and update availability without prior notice.

Should I contact you before ordering if I am unsure?

Yes. If you are unsure about compatibility, fitment, cable size, cable length, gas type, torch style, machine model, replacement part number, or accessory selection, contact us before placing your order.
