CeramicElite is a high-performance backing tape designed for higher productivity and a consistently smooth welding bead. Ideal for shipbuilding, tanks, reservoirs, and hard-to-reach welds, the ceramic backing tape is recommended as a replacement for traditional copper backing for SMAW, FCAW, and SMAW operations. The ceramic on aluminum tape is adjustable and flexible to follow the parts geometry and easily detaches after welding. The concave profile provides a smooth bead for root pass for solid wire or metal-cored operations. The cylindrical profile works for V- and X-grooves.
